HSVTC Web Site and Tool Data

Updated: 5:07 PM 7/31/2025
This is an attempt to document various tools that the HSVTC had on hand for use in trail work over the years. There was never a full detailed list of the HSVTC tools. Much of the data was assembled to make keeping track of the status of individual tools easier.

There is a reasonable write up on Crosscut Saw Handles and there is a detailed listing of Crosscut Saws that were sent out to Dolly Chapman for professionally sharpening.

General description of the included files:

  1. Older PDFs that were generated before 2010 showing the status of HSVTC's tools and usually their location.
  2. These sets of data consists of various pictures of tools that the HSVTC had that was documented by taking pictures of them. The data is in several groups.
  3. There are several sets of trail crew storage over the years.
    1. There are several sets of data in both PDF and HTML formats. These sets of data usually consist of many pictures.
    2. Several groups of pictures of tools in various storage locations. These picture groups are arraigned by the picture's file date. I have no idea if the picture dates are always correct as sometimes the picture may get its date "updated" in normal copying operations.
    3. There are pictures that have their dates in camera specified format. It is: "20210708_115035.jpg". This time/tag name may be broken down as follows:

      Picture Name Format for "20210708_115035.jpg"
      YearMonthDaydelimiterHourMinuteSecondFormat
      2021 07 08 _ 11 50 35 .jpg
